Who can become a Software Tester?

Most of the companies prefer a BE/ B.Tech CS/ IT or MCA. Testing is of two types Manual and Automation one. The companies generally hire for Manual testing. The ideal candidate should have good analytical skills, basic programming knowledge and should be a troubleshooter. For automation testing, there should have a good command over computer languages.

Remunerations:

A fresh entrant to this field could get anything between Rs 3 lakh - Rs 10 lakh per annum. The remuneration varies from type of companies he has joined and his educational background. The salary keeps varying from one organization to other. The core software companies give higher package.
