Origins

GPS technology was initially developed in the United States for defense purposes. GPS uses satellite technology for its navigation system. The GPS navigation system can track a person or object fitted with GPS equipment irrespective of which part of the globe they’re in. The tracking range is quite accurate with a usual error range of about 100 meters. Further, the GPS bandwidth is available for free.
