Though the best use of vehicle tracking system can be seen in airplanes and train services. They give accurate information, as to when the flight will be arriving or departing and if it is on time or delayed.
GPS Vehicle monitoring management also gives the information regarding what is wrong in the vehicle, which proves to be very critical while managing them. All the data related to vehicle is monitored and stored in the system that can be observed by the owner. This in turn helps the company to cut down its operation cost, secures their vehicle and also lets them to know where they are loosing money.
Fleet management involves trace, protect or tracking of the vehicle, which is currently done with the help of GPS (Global Positioning System) and GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System). These are the latest technologies used. They work on the radio signal emitted by the GPS device, already installed in the vehicles and then they further carry this signal to the satellites. Satellite redirects this ray to the owner's system, which can see all the information using Internet or some software.
For the fleet management it is necessary to maintain the profile of the vehicles and that of the driver. It also needs the information regarding speed, distance, dispatch and location.
