What is Hortonworks sandbox Ambari default password?
The Hortonworks sandbox comes with fully installed and configured Hadoop system. In this tutorial I will give information on the default password to login to Hortonworks sandbox Ambari management panel through web browser. Ambari provides tools to check and manage your Hadoop cluster.
Developers will find almost all the components of Hadoop to get started with it. Ambari is the control panel to manage all the components of Hadoop eco-system in Hortonworks Hadoop distribution. In production environment Ambari is used to manage cluster, with the help of this tool you can check the status of your Hadoop cluster and perform maintenance activities.
When you start your Hortonworks sandbox VM, Ambari and other components starts automatically as it is set to start at the server start. You can view the status of these services through Amabri tool.
Ambari can be accessed at the url http://127.0.0.1:8080/. You should open this url in web browser and it will show following screen:
Now you can provide following credentials to login to Amabari:
Username: maria_dev
Password: maria_dev
After entering these Hortonworks sandbox Ambari default username and password click on the "Sign in" button. After successful login following dashboard of Amabri is displayed:
In this Ambari Dashboard you can easily view the status of HDFS Disk usage, Server uptime, server resource usages etc.. You can also find the list of Hadoop eco-system components installed on the server. It show the list of components like HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, HBase, Kafka, Flume etc...
You can also restart any or all the components of the system. In this tutorial we have seen the default password of Amabari in Hortonworks sandbox.
