At the RSA Conference in San Jose this week, NetIQ unveiled a VoIP security product and an upgrade to its security management software that features faster updates and simplified agent management.
The company?s new VoIP Security Solution works with Cisco?s IP Telephony to defend against denial-of-service attacks, viruses, worms, toll fraud, eavesdropping and other threats that can penetrate an organization through its VoIP setup, according to product manager Diane
Garey. Leveraging NetIQ?s existing VoIP management and security management products, the new offering gives administrators real-time information about the system?s performance and availability, as well as alerts to any security threats, Garey says. These events are logged for auditing and analysis.
