Business Analysis is the stream of research that deals with the identification of business needs to recommend for an effective solution that creates more value for the stakeholders.
Business analysis also includes exploring the requirements of the business and identify the problems in the existing system and finally suggest a proper solution for the business problem.
Person who carries out business analysis is referred as a business analyst. A business analyst or BA may suggest a solution for the existing problem depending upon the type of problem that may include process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development.
A business analyst engaged in software development on full time basis are often called a IT business analysts, technical business analysts, online business analysts, business systems analysts, or systems analysts.
As business analysis is highly focused on requirement analysis, it is sometimes also called requirements engineering, that helps to achieve the strategic goal of an organisation by identifying the problems and defining a proper solution for the same with respect to strategies, structures, policies, processes, and information systems.
