This section illustrates you about the <jsp:include> directive in jsp. With the <jsp:include> directive, you can include either a static or dynamic file in a JSP file. If the file is static, its text or content is included in the calling JSP page. If the file is dynamic, it acts on a request and sends back the result that is included in the JSP page.
Understand with Example
In the given example we have used <jsp:param> clause to pass the parameter name and value and the included jsp page displays the value of the parameter. The includededJsp.jsp include a scriptlet that consists of request.getParameter ("name") method. This method return you the value of the parameter passed as query string. Finally the out.println print the name and send back the result that is included in the includes.jsp.
Here is the code of includes.jsp
| <html> <body> <h2>Includes Jsp Page</h2> <jsp:include page="includedJsp.jsp" > <jsp:param name="name" value="Angelina" /> </jsp:include> </body> </html> |
Here is the code of includedJsp.jsp
