What is Medical Assistant?
Medical assistant is one of the important professional positions in the health care industry of many of the developed nations.
Medical assistants are supposed to share many of the vital responsibilities of the doctor and certified medical practitioners from diverse medical services like nurses, pathological attendants, and medical lab professionals.
Though normally medical assistants are considered to be the inevitable team members of the attending physician, they are supposed to take care of many specialized disciplines in the health care facilities.
In common understanding of the term the medical or health care professionals who are supposed to assist doctors in their process of remitting treatment and health care to the diseased patients are called medical assistants.
The duties and job responsibilities that a medical assistant is supposed to perform may include diagnostic procedures like taking note of the vital signs of the patients, administrative functions like maintaining medical equipment and administering urgent processes like injections or putting the intravenous fluid system in order, pathological duties like collecting specimen from the patients, health care official duties like maintaining medical and patient records, assisting the doctor or other medical professional in emergency situations, etc.
