Error mounting VirtualBox shared folders in an Ubuntu guest

Hi,

I shared windows folder in linux from Oracle virtual box. This folder is coming in Ubuntu but when i click on it it gives following error:

You dont have the permissions necessary to view the contents of "sf_share" ubuntu

How to solve the permission issue?

Hi,

You can add the permission for the user. For example the user is testuser then run the following command in your virtualbox Ubuntu os:

sudo adduser testuser vboxsf

Here you should replace testuser with your user name.
