In simple terms "Big Data" is data which can't be managed with traditional means of one computer.

Following data will give give you some idea:

Small Size Data:

Its less than 10GB and thousands of sales of a company are example of such data. Or a videos/images of such size.

Medium Size Data:

It is between 10GB to 1TB and example such data is millions of web pages of websites.

Big Data Size:

This data can be more than 1TB and the example of such data is record of web clicks of users on website. Or website logs etc.. Videos or social networking posts created by millions of users.

Veracity: The meaning of Veracity is biases, noise and abnormality in data. Big Data can handle all types of data and does not which data is good or not good, So, its responsibility of the programmers/stakeholders to filter out data which is not useful.

Validity: This is the validity of the data and make sure you are storing good/valid data which is useful in analysis. Volatility: The terms Volatility refers to the validity of the data and the age of its storage.
