The islands of Saint Lucia have a mountainous geography and these islands are of volcanic origin. Mount Gimie is the most elevated peak in the island at a height of 3120 feet. The mountain of Piton is decorated with beautiful landscapes making it one of the famous landmarks of the island.

Economy of the island is characterized by the tourism industry. There has been a considerable development in the cities of Saint Lucia over the past decade, attracting an even more number of tourists to the island.
