hi, when i install james server and run then its shut down because this error has come java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind.

Hi,

I think you are using windows. This error occurs if the port is already in use. Since, you are trying to run the James mail server the SMTP/POP port is already in use by another email program from Microsoft.

Here is the steps to stop Microsoft POP/SMTP server: 1. Open control panel. 2. Double click on administrative tools 3. Double click on "services" 4. In the services find "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)" and then stop.

Hope above steps will help you in solving James JVM_bin bind problem.
