Job Description :

  • Client interaction, understanding requirements, coding & designing on Java/PHP/.Net. platform.
  • Thorough knowledge of Linux and networking.
  • At least 2+ yrs exp in application development environment, SQL Server 2005,HTML, XML, MySQL, creating business logics.
  • Familiarity with design patterns, agile programming and/or extreme programming.
  • Exposure to web service designing, web technologies.
  • Can handle project/task independently as well as be a team member.
  • Able to upgrade existing code to higher version.
  • strong sense of logic and decoding.
  • Excellent Customer focus & interaction skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Desired candidate description :

  • Hands-On 2 - 6 years of web development experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Java/PHP/.Net.
  • Advanced database concepts.
  • Proven affinity with large scale dynamic websites.
  • Must have a valid passport.

Preferred skills (If Any) :

About the implemented technology :

platform in-house with a team of 11 full-time developers.

The main application stack was made using LAMP. Running on PHP 5.2, with about 500k lines of code, some of the libraries used include Creole , propel and smarty . Besides PHP, Python is also used for the chat platform.

The client technology includes:

  • Desktop browser version
  • Mobile client version
  • Desktop native client (used for notifications)

The website contains over 100 million photo's, video's and music files and serves over 90 million page views per day. The site runs on 1200 Linux servers.
