Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) is the premier institute of India, which has given new dimensions in the area of rural management in the country. It was established in 1979 and in a short span of time it has come to be recognized as an excellent center of teaching and research in rural management area. In fact there should not be any exaggeration in saying that IRMA has successfully created a new discipline of rural management, which is being replicated by many other institutes.

IRMA was founded at the initiative of the NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) and supported by Government of India, Government of Gujarat and also Swiss Development Co-operation.

Today if rural management has become a revolution for the welfare of the rural area of the country. It is noted that there are there are more than 800 business schools active in India but IRMA is the only one which serve the co-operatives, NGOs, and people?s organizations and relates direct its energies for a better out put from these organization.

It has provided a vast career opportunity in the rural management sector and playing a frontrunner role in professionalising the development of country?s rural area. IRMA has been providing many courses including management training, support and research facilities to those students who are interested and committed to work for the welfare of the rural sector population. Institute has been providing many courses in Management field and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approves all the courses offered by the institute.

Eligibility for the course

Candidate must have completed his/her 15 years of education from a recognized university with Bachelor?s degree should have scored minimum 50 percent, (45 percent in case of SC/ST/PwD) marks. Those students can also apply who are appearing for their final year exam.

Eligibility for the course

For PhD program, the candidates should have possessed PRM from IRMA. There is another option under which an OYP from IRMA with one-year post diploma work experience. Postgraduate students can also apply if they have done the course in any discipline from a recognized university and the minimum marks required are 55 percent.
