PHP and MySQL are open source programs that are very different from each other. They can both be used for all sorts of online functions. They are equally important for anyone to use.
The first thing to know is that the PHP script can work well for a dynamic site. It can help to understand this by seeing what the difference is between a static and dynamic website.
Static and dynamic websites are very different. A static site will have the same things shown for every user. It is a site that is better for informative or presentation purposes. A dynamic website will have more interactive features for its visitors and can be altered by visitors. This can be very popular for different types of websites in today’s increasingly interactive world.
The PHP script will be used to create a dynamic site. This is different from the HTML from Adobe Dreamweaver or Microsoft Expression Web that is used for a static page. The static page would require updates to be edited on a computer and then uploaded all over again. PHP works differently from this.
PHP works to enter in data for a web server to translate. This includes individual start and end tags for the PHP language. In fact, this can even be used in conjunction with HTML for real time updates.
The PHP can also be used to allow people to interact with a site. This includes the ability to upload items or comments on a site.
The MySQL database can work especially well with the PHP code. It can be used for the creation of a simple database for a website to work with. This database can be programmed with a PHP script to allow people to enter in their own pieces of data inside of a database. The database can be updated in real time and interacted with in many ways. This will make the database easier for anyone to work with.
This is a process that is being used by many websites. Facebook is by far the most notable site that uses PHP and MySQL together.
These can work with many different kinds of modules. These include the WordPress blogging module, the Joolma Content Management System and more.
In fact, these modules can be easily installed onto any PHP site. A typical module will have its own installation script. This can be entered into a system with very little additional input needed.
