About QiLinux 2.0 Beta 1
"We are proud to announce the release of QiLinux 2.0beta1 free edition. A list of the most important changes: KDE desktop new version 3.5.1; low latency audio system based on Jack Audio Toolkit; new hardware access architecture based on udev and hal; bootloader GRUB; support for new multimedia peripherals; UTF-8 support; Linux kernel 2.6.15.4; GCC 4.0.2; X.Org 6.9.0 and updated ATI and NVIDIA video drivers; OpenOffice.org 2;hundreds of new software packages available."

We are waiting for results from our beta-testers in order to improve QiLinux for the next stable release.

QiLinux 2.0beta1 CD version is available for download at the following links:

If a broadband connection is available, installation could be made using only CD1, downloading the remaining packages via network.

QiLinux 2.0 Open Source Technology will be the base of Tuga Desktop, the new professional Desktop developed by QiNet that will provide:
