About Honeynet Project
We raise awareness of the threats and vulnerabilities that exist in the Internet today. Many individuals and organizations do not realize they are a target, nor understand who is attacking them, how, or why. We provide this information so people can better understand they are a target, and understand the basic measures they can take to mitigate these threats. This information is provided through our Know Your Enemy series of papers.

There are two versions of the Honeywall CDROM, Roo and Eeyore. Released in May, 2003, Eeyore was the first version, a prototype that is considered End Of Life and is no longer supported. The new version is Roo, released in May, 2005. This new version is considered a production release and is based on our new GenIII (third generation) technologies. Enhancements include Fedora Core 3 OS base for easier administration and automated updating, has a GUI based interface for system configuration, administration, and data analysis, and supports the new 3.x branch of Sebek.
