About GoboLinux
GoboLinux is definitely not "yet another Linux distro for the desktop". It is entirely based on an alternative directory structure. Every program lives in its own directory: you'll find XFree86 4.3 at /Programs/XFree86/4.3/, and ping at /Programs/Netkit-Base/0.17/bin/ping. To see what programs are installed in the system, all you need to do is ls /Programs.

2008-04-04 00:00:00.0 GoboLinux 014.01 has been released    View
This release is our first "point release", providing a stability update for our latest major release, GoboLinux 014, which was released three months ago. The Live CD build environment is highly customizable and packages were built using a dynamically-generated sandboxed environment which insulates the source code and its dependencies during compilation. This release is binary-compatible with GoboLinux 014: only bugfixes were applied to packages -- a few of them gained new versions when they presented stability problems but the focus was to fix all known issues and avoid introducing any new bugs.

2007-12-20 00:00:00.0 GoblinX 2.6 RC1 "Micro" has been released    View
The GoblinX Micro 2.6 rc01 is released. The GoblinX Micro edition is the smallest edition of our distributions and contains only Fluxbox as windows manager and GTK+-based applications. The edition is designed for those users whose like to do fast tests, learn more about Fluxbox or want to rebuild the live CD. GoblinX Micro is created mostly to help us to develop better and smaller applications that can be used for all small windows managers such as Fluxbox, and also to prepare a live CD without all the unnecessary files. We also intend to use it to test Web 2 and Ajax applications.
