What is HTML 5 and CSS 3

HTML 5 and CSS 3 are the standard versions of the basic HTML and CSS language, which is used to create more interactive web pages than ever. Using the new elements and attributes provided in HTML 5, one can easily attach audios and videos to their HTML web pages. HTML 5 also supports 2D and 3D graphics. Whereas a CSS is used to describes the presentation semantics of a web page. CSS 3 is the latest version of CSS that works on modules. CSS3 introduced new features like Selectors, Box Model, Backgrounds and Borders, Image Values and Replaced Content, Text Effects and so on..

CSS 3 also supports animations along with 2D/3D Transformations features. Using CSS 3 and HTML 5, one can easily create a more user and search engine friendly User Interface. That is the reason, why HTML 5 and CSS 3 are widely used for both web and mobile application at present time.

As we have already learned that HTML 5 and CSS are used to create Web Pages more interactive and user friendly than ever. HTML 5 is the Markup Language whereas CSS is used to style the HTML web pages. HTML 5 is a standard version of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and it supports CSS 3, audio, video, 2D and 3D graphics along with local storage.

Generally, a web page is created using HTML and CSS language that runs on web browser. HTML is used to create header, footer and body of a webpage and CSS is used to describes the presentation semantics of a web page.
