  1. The server enterprise monitor client-library programmer's guide
Monitor Client Library is part of Adaptive Server Enterprise Monitor. It is an application programming interface that enables you to write client applications that connect to Adaptive Server, Adaptive Server Enterprise Monitor Server (Monitor Server), and Adaptive Server Enterprise Historical Server (Historical Server) to gather performance data. This chapter describes Adaptive Server Enterprise Monitor, explains the components of a Monitor Client Library application, and lists a sample Monitor Client Library application.
  2. MySQL basic tutorial
This MySQL tutorial is a guide for new MySQL users, providing a reference of very basic, step by step, instructions on how to get started. This MySQL help page also gives more advanced users assistance in upgrading and running multiple versions of MySQL on a computer at the same time. MySQL is an SQL based relational database management system (DBMS) that runs under a broad array of operating systems. MySQL is frequently used by PHP and Perl scripts. The SQL commands discussed in this tutorial apply to MySQL operating under all operating systems. Only the installation instructions are Windows specific. The focus is on Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 Professional machines.
  3. The Sybase Character Sets User's Guide
Sybase Character Sets release 3.0 adds support for four new character sets including two new languages, Vietnamese and Baltic, and the Unicode UTF-8 character set. All new character sets include support for the Euro symbol. Adaptive Server Enterprise(TM), Sybase SQL Server(TM), Open Client, and Open Server are internationalized so that they can correctly process the characters used in different languages. Sybase Character Sets provide the files required for data processing support by these products for the major business languages in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia.
  4. The  Practical PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL is one of the most successful open source databases available. It is arguably also the most advanced, with a wide range of features that challenge even many closed-source databases. This book is intended to be a practical guide to PostgreSQL v7.1.x, though most of the book should also apply to earlier and future releases of PostgreSQL. The content is focused on getting you comfortable with PostgreSQL in the most expedient fashion possible. Although we will touch on some academic database subjects, such discussion will be kept brief. Our core focus is to provide the reader with enough of an understanding of PostgreSQL to manage a fully operational PostgreSQL database. Our hope is that by introducing this book to the community we will provide a better understanding of PostgreSQL and its functionality.
