In Java Activation Framework is used for reading the MIME data/messages. These messages/data are usually the mail files and its used while working with the JavaMail API in Java.

If you are developing Multi part messages in Java then you will need this framework.

Here is the Maven dependency for activation.jar:

    <artifactId>activation</artifactId>

</dependency>

You can add above code in pom.xml for getting actication.jar in your project.
